About Rima

Rima is a Syrian-Australian Arabic author, film, TV and freelance writer and passionate human rights activist and feminist. She has published a number books, hundreds of articles, has written a number of Syrian TV series, long-form films and many short films. Rima fled from Syria to Jordan in 2011, and was a member of the delegation to the Geneva Conference on Syria for peace negotiation in 2014. In 2012/2013 she was the official speaker of the Local Coordination Committee of Syria (LCC). Rima is a member of the Syrian Writers Association. She is the founder and the executive director of the Syrian Feminist Lobby. Rima is currently based in Brisbane, Australia since November, 2014.
